Reserve your transportation six to seven months before your wedding. If you’re getting married during a popular month, like June or October or during prom season, you may have to book it farther in advance.

Will this car be used to deliver you to the church on time, or will it serve as a way for your party to celebrate after? Do you imagine pulling up in an elegant Rolls Royce, a romantic carriage, the ever-popular party bus, or something more unique? Consider your style, the size of your wedding party, and the distance you’re traveling.
Keep in mind that a 14-passenger stretch limo may not always fit 14 people once they’re in wedding attire. Avoid a potential wedding day blunder by considering the space you’ll need for your gown as you’re choosing your transportation.
Consider the Cost
The cost of your rental will depend on the type of ride you choose, the length of time you’ll need the rental, and the time of year you want it. Weekend prices are usually firm, but a weekday rental can sometimes be negotiated. If you need more than one vehicle, ask if a discount applies.
Some operators have straightforward charges while others may have secondary costs, such as gratuities or fuel surcharges. If a company requires a deposit, ask if it’s refundable. Almost all companies have a minimum number of hours to rent. During prom season some may demand a higher minimum.

Never feel pressured to give your credit card number to “hold” a limousine. Especially not if you’re unsure about the transportation company! Only leave a deposit with a signed contract.
Compare companies, but don’t just book by price alone. Check how long the company has been in business, ask about extra perks that might come with your limo, and see the vehicles in person. A company might have the best price but they should have the equipment to back it up, too.
Be Attentive & Ask the Important Questions
First and foremost, make sure the company doesn’t delegate work to third parties. Although this may be an acceptable practice, having a middleman leaves the door open for tardiness or, even worse, a no-show. If you have your heart set on a particular car, you’ll be better off finding a vendor who actually owns the one you’ve got in mind.
Carefully inspect the vehicle you’ll be using beyond just its features. Make sure your company is registered with the Department of Transportation. Look for the livery sticker issued by the State of Ohio. This proves that the company’s insurance has been approved. If you’re interested in renting a party bus, check for an up-to-date PUCO (Public Utilities Commission of Ohio) sticker. It ensures the vehicle passed inspection from the highway patrol.
